Think about your business… When you close your eyes, what do you see? Cliche, I know. But how do you expect others to follow you if you cannot clearly communicate the vision you have for your business? A vision should inspire you (and your employees) to develop the necessary plans to realize it. A vision is a picture (worth a thousand words) not yet drawn. It is the idea of what you want the picture to look like once you have taken the necessary steps to complete it. If you are a passionate owner, then it will be rather simple for you to visualize your company’s future. Once that is accomplished the strategic plan can be put in place via the mission statement.
“…Essentially, a vision statement takes into account the current status of the organization, and serves to point the direction of where the organization wishes to go. As a means of setting a central goal that the organization will aspire to reach, the vision statement helps to provide a focus for the mission of the corporation, business, or non-profit entity…”
Believe in your vision, believe in yourself!
Short, sweet and to the point… This post about vision makes me think of the quote from Mahatma Gandhi ‘Be the change you want to see in the world”
